Each Uncoated Dispersible Tablet Contains:
Aciclovir IP 400 mg

Clopidogrel belongs to the antiplatelet class and exist in the form of prodrug. It is used for the treatment of myocardial infarction and acute coronary syndrome. It has long duration of action.

Indications

• Acute coronary syndrome
• Acute myocardial infarction
• Atherothrombotic agent

Mechanism of Action

Clopidogrel firstly converted into its metabolite i.e. carboxylesterase-1. It binds to the P2Y12 ADP receptors present on the surface of platelet and inhibit the binding of ADP to these receptors and activation of glycoprotein complexes or platelet aggregation.

Absorption- It is absorbed orally
Protein Binding- It shows 98% bound to proteins
Metabolism- It metabolized in the liver
Excretion- It is excreted via urine

• Nose bleeding
• Heavier periods
• Bleeding gums
• Bruising

Contraindications

• Contraindicated in hepatic disorders
• Contraindicated in geriatric population
